The first half of this great aircheck was posted on April 6, 2003. We didn't know there was more until 2013, when Tom Konard sent us the complete recording. The unique thing about this aircheck is that Tom, the Production Manager for WCFL, recorded this aircheck of WLS himself.
You will hear a very adult playlist specially tuned for the HUGE WLS morning audience. The previously unposted second half-hour includes one MASSIVE stiff and a Tooth Fairy episode. Larry clears his throat, sells GOOD non-prescription drugs, and plays two religiously-oriented songs in the same quarter-hour!
Clearly, 1971 was a different time, though in Chicago, they were still throwing babies in trashcans and suspected shootings were gang-related.
